PRACTICE PLACING THE ENTIRE TONGUE UP AGAINST THE PALATE, WHICH MOVES IT OUT OF THE PHARYNX and forces forward growth of the maxilla in growing, young children. This should be taught to infants and in elementary schools to maximise forward growth of the maxilla and mandible. JUST SAY NO TO ORTHODONTIC GROWTH STUNTING-EXTRACTION-RETRACTION-HEADGEAR- none of which has been proven to be safe by any valid studies that examine every single variable and interconnection of variables among the tongue, pharynx, lungs, spine, biomechanics, sleep position, forward head posture etc…… The ortho indu$try insists that extractions dont cause apnea, but they don't control for forward head posture- a compensatory mechanism- in any of the invalid studie$ that they pass off as the truth.
ORTHOTROPICS is preventive and natural-an example of biomimicry: primitive peoples don't have apnea and wildlife don't need cpaps.
I don't see Sleep Wellness Coaching as a potential avenue for people struggling with sleep challenges. CBT-I is the most similar but still quite different.
